The Green Growth Community organizes a SDG focused session together with the Region of Crete, during the European Week of Regions and Cities- EWRC, in Brussels.

A session focusing on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in regions and cities will be co-organized by the Green Growth Community and the Region of Crete in Brussels, during the EWRC 2019. The session will take place on Thursday 10 October 2019, from 2pm to 5pm (Venue: Rond-Point Schuman 14, Brussels).

EU Member states have taken steps to integrate sustainable development strategies into their policy framework at various levels. However, differences appear in SDGs’ definition and monitoring system of their implementation, for different governance levels and type of stakeholders.

During the session SDGs definitions, strategy approaches, timeframes and challenges in understanding the indicators at local/ regional levels will be addressed as well as budget and resource constrains and opportunities.

Inspirational experiences and best practices applied by regions and municipalities will follow in the Agenda, with an intervention from the Green Growth Community.
