CIrClE 2018 “Challenges for the islands in the era of the Circular Economy”

We have the pleasure to cordially invite you to the international Conference CirClE2018 "Challenges for the Islands in the era of Circular Economy", organized under the auspices of the European Commission and the Business Forum integrated in the event, organized by the Interreg MED Green Growth community. CIrClE2018 will be held in Chania, Crete, Greece from 20-22 September 2018.

CIrClE2018, under the auspices of the European Commission, aims at promoting circular economy, identifying good practice, highlighting cross-border cooperation, enhancing bilateral & multilateral relations, strengthening economic & business opportunities, promoting green and blue growth, sustainable development and implementing circular economy practices in the islands of the Mediterranean by building capacity to that effect. During the dedicated Business Forum session, institutions, businesses and policy-makers will meet to exchange their views for transforming ideas into business opportunities, supported by innovative funding - financing tools fostering Circular Economy business models and eco-innovation.

Role of the Interreg MED Green Growth community: organization of the Business Forum integrated to a major event is expected to boost the impact of the MED Green Growth Community, visibility and capacity towards the achievement of its objectives and outputs. The content of the event will be adapted to the current progress of the MPs and the need of connection with the business industry. Many high-level EU officials will be present and therefore there is a strong capitalization potential. A focused approach in SMEs and enterprises will be designed so as to assist the projects' outputs achievement.

Role of the Modular Projects of Interreg MED Green Growth community: MPs can participate as attendees in the conference and in the Business Forum. A dedicated corner will be set for the MPs in order to demonstrate their goals and/or findings. MPs will have the opportunity to share their promotional material as well as to demonstrate their roll-up or relevant scientific posters. The corner will be set next to the meetings' area and the business corner. B2Interreg meetings will be also planned. Relevant modular projects working on circular economy will have the opportunity to reach important EU and regional stakeholders.
